Nature of the service
GridLens is a data aggregation and intelligence platform. We collect publicly available grid connection data from the National Energy System Operator (NESO) and UK Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), and present it in a structured, searchable, and scored format to assist renewable energy professionals in their work.
GridLens is NOT:

Data accuracy disclaimer
GridLens sources data from publicly available registers published by NESO and UK DNOs. Our data is refreshed twice weekly (Tuesdays and Fridays) in line with NESO's publication schedule, and monthly for DNO data as operators publish updates.
Despite our best efforts to maintain accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all data on the platform is complete, accurate, or current at all times. Source data may contain errors at the point of publication by the original operators.
All data is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied. GridLens accepts no liability for any decisions made, actions taken, or losses incurred based on data presented on the platform.
Feature-specific disclaimers
Grid Capacity Map
The Grid Capacity Map displays substation locations and connection queue data based on publicly available sources. Substation positions are approximate and derived from geocoding. Capacity figures reflect published queue data and do not represent real-time available capacity. Always verify with the relevant DNO or transmission owner before making site decisions.
M&A Report
The M&A Report provides analysis of projects in the connection queue to support due diligence. It does not constitute a valuation, investment recommendation, or legal opinion. Users should engage qualified advisers for formal M&A assessments.
Investor PDF
Investor PDF exports are designed to assist with internal reporting and information sharing. They do not constitute a financial promotion, prospectus, or investment memorandum. Any forward-looking statements or projections should not be relied upon as guarantees of future performance.
PPA Tool
The PPA Tool provides indicative analysis based on publicly available data and does not constitute an offer, solicitation, or advice in relation to power purchase agreements. Actual PPA terms depend on bilateral negotiations, market conditions, and factors beyond the scope of this tool. Seek independent energy advisory services for PPA structuring.
Third-party data terms
NESO data
National Energy System Operator data is used under the Open Government Licence v3.0 (OGL v3.0).
DNO registers
Distribution Network Operator connection registers are used under the respective licences published by each operator.
GridLens does not claim ownership of third-party data. Our platform adds value through aggregation, structuring, scoring, and analysis of publicly available data sources.
